Year 11 Visual Art - Semester A

Course Description

The Visual Art Year 11 course aims to provide a balance over a range of genres and media. In the first term students will focus on drawing methods and research on themes.

This will lead into the next term where they will work towards a 2 folio board, focusing on painting practice.

Course Overview

Semester A
Developing drawing methods with focus on perspective, value and mark making and an
in-depth research to record information for drawing methods and skills in wet and dry media.

Produce a body of work informed by established practice, which develops and clarifies ideas, using a range of media with control and fluency

Recommended Prior Learning

Y10 Visual Art will be to the student’s advantage.

Contributions and Equipment/Stationery

An artbox with specified items will be needed for stationary.
